Deluxe/Kodak Collection
The Deluxe/Kodak Collection is the result of an NFSA initiative that builds on the already successful collaboration with our valued project partners, Atlab Australia and Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd, to preserve and make available a selection of significant colour Australian feature films - in the format and condition they were originally intended to be seen. The project spans five years until 2011, and in that time pristine prints of 25 titles will have been produced for the Cinema Lending Collection.
As a result of this initiative the following features are already available for loan:
- The Coca Cola Kid (Dusan Makavejev, 1985)
- Long Weekend (Colin Eggleston, 1978)
- Malcom (Nadia Tass, 1986)
- Manganinnie (John Honey, 1980)
- Monkey Grip (Ken Cameron, 1982)
- My First Wife (Paul Cox, 1984)
- No Worries (David Elfick, 1992)
- Proof (Jocelyn Moorhouse, 1990)
- A Street To Die (Bill Bennett, 1984)
- The Tale of Ruby Rose (Roger Scholes, 1987)
- Caddie (Donald Crombie, 1976)
- The Clinic (David Stevens, 1982)
- Man of Flowers (Paul Cox, 1983)
- Fran (Glenda Hambly, 1985)
The next five titles to be preserved by the Deluxe/Kodak Project are:
- First Contact (Bob Connolly and Robyn Anderson, 1986)
- The Fringe Dwellers (Bruce Beresford, 1986)
- Kangaroo (Tim Burstall, 1986)
