Theatrical Loans
Theatrical screenings generally refer to those:
- which are open to the public,
- or for which admission is charged,
- or
which are conducted by an individual or organisation that falls outside of the
non-theatrical definition.

- A shorts package comprises up to 50 minutes of short films.
- Premium quality prints are prime archival film copies in new or near new condition which attract a premium fee.
- Additional charges may apply for videocopies especially created (where no loan copies currently exist).
- Outward freight fees are charged at a standard rate Australia-wide. This covers standard road transport, and the borrower is responsible for return freight.
- The standard rate for freight includes up to 30kg, with an additional $1 per kg to apply for films over 30kg
- Urgent or exceptional freight requirements may attract an additional fee.
- NFSA staff can provide curatorial advice for your program. Research fees of $54 per hour may apply. Please discuss with Screening Loans staff
Conditions of Loan:
All screening loans from NFSA are subject to the current Conditions of Loan.

Loan Damage and Insurance Information Sheet:
Borrowers are responsible for NFSA collection items whilst on loan and during transit. NFSA recommends that all borrowers read the Loan Damage and Insurance Information Sheet prior to loaning items.

Screening Loans Registration Form:
Organisations wishing to loan NFSA items for screening must submit a completed Screening Loans Registration Form.
