Notes to the NTLC loans fees:
- Fees are reviewed by NFSA on an annual basis and may be varied without notice.
- All NFSA Loans are at NFSA discretion and subject to NFSA Conditions of Loan.
- All prices for Australian screenings include GST.
- NTLC fees include outward freight. Borrowers are responsible for the cost of return freight using a trackable / registered service.
- Note 1: 16mm film loans may be returned to NFSA via Australia Post using optional pre-paid address label included with all 16mm film loans, for a flat fee of $13.20 (incl GST) Australia wide.
- Note 2: Expedited ‘Express’ service for NTLC video bookings utilises Australia Post ‘Express Post’ network and delivery is subject to limitations of that service, and the time that the booking is made. While next day delivery may be possible, this cannot be guaranteed.
- Note 3: The licensing conditions for NTLC titles are typically limited to screenings by registered, Australian not-for-profit organisations and where no single-session ticketed admission is charged – See NFSA Conditions of Loan for full definition of Non-theatrical screenings. All screenings that fall outside of these conditions may be considered ‘theatrical’ screenings and loans will be charged at the ‘theatrical’ rate, in addition to any fees charged for the screening by copyright owners. If in doubt, discuss the nature of your proposed screening with your NFSA contact.
- Note 4: Non-theatrical licenses for all NTLC titles are limited to Australian clients and screenings (with NZ rights available in some cases). Loans are available to international clients, at NFSA discretion, with clients required to seek permission to screen the title from the rights holder in their territory.
- Note 5: New Zealand clients may have access to certain titles where licences for New Zealand are held – please enquire. NZ loans are charged at Australian rates (in $AUD) though freight costs in both directions must be covered by the client
- Note 6: Standard NTLC loan rates include up to two screenings within a 7 day period at the same venue. Additional screenings, including those more than 7 days apart, or at different screening venues, attract the additional screening fee.
- Note 7: NFSA will provide known print condition information, based on database records, to clients at no charge. Where this information is not available, or comparison of prints is necessary, clients may request an advance condition assessment. ‘Spot check’ includes a brief examination of one reel of the film to ascertain indicative condition such as colour fade, scratches etc. ‘Full check’ includes a detailed examination of all reels with written report.

All NFSA fees are in addition to any screening fees required by copyright owners.
- Note 1: Archival’ category prints are high quality or ‘rare’ prints and have different loan, equipment and projection requirements to ‘Access’ category prints.
