Advanced bookings
Advance telephone bookings (02 6248 2000) are available from 9am–5pm Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday, and before scheduled Arc screenings.
Arc and outdoor cinema tickets are available for sale from Monday of that week (for example, Saturday 4.30pm tickets can be purchased any time from 9am Monday, but tickets cannot be purchased on Saturday for the next Saturday). Check with the NFSA box office or reception for availability dates.
Tickets can be purchased from the NFSA Box Office/Reception, and over the phone with credit card only. Tickets must be paid for at the time of booking. We apologise, online ticket sales are not available at this time. Please note: if the NFSA Box Office/Reception is busy when you call, we will take your number and call you back. Please be prepared for this possibility before scheduled Arc screenings as this is our peak time for attending to incoming cinema patrons.
Pre-purchased tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Once collected, they are the responsibility of the patron.
Max Pass tickets can be reserved over the phone, but must be picked up 15 minutes prior to screening or will be resold.
Advanced tickets are not allocated seating. Strictly ‘first-in-best-dressed’ for best seating. Please ensure you arrive in adequate time prior to screening to get your favourite seat (recommended: 15 minutes prior to Arc cinema screenings; 1 hour prior to outdoor screenings).
Ticket refunds
All Arc cinema and outdoor season tickets can only be refunded up to 20 minutes after the feature begins. We cannot refund after this point. This applies to both advance sales and tickets bought at the time of the session.
Disability access
Disabled access is available through the NFSA’s Liversidge Street entrance.
There is a complete hearing aid loop in the Arc Cinema, designed to cover the entire seating area. (We also have a hearing aid loop in the NFSA’s smaller Theatrette, which also covers the complete seating area.)
