This position plays a central role in the Collection Reference team including responding to external requests to share and promote usage of the National Collection. The work includes the coordination and delivery of a range of access, reference and technical reproduction services, simplifying and improving collection access pathways and assisting with coordinating the work of the team in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.

Under supervision, and as a member of a team, undertake Collection Service team activities including: the handling, retrieval, packaging, return and relocation of collection material and participation in Collection Care projects. These activities are to be conducted in accordance with established archival practices and procedures. Security and care of the Collection is paramount to any tasks undertaken.
