As the APS4 Library Officer at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA), you will play an integral role to the operations, services and support provided by the Library to external clients and the staff. Under direction, and as a member of a team, provide an effective and timely access service for clients wanting to loan film and screening media from the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) collection. Display confident communication skills and professionalism in representing the NFSA to its national and international clients and stakeholders. Support the operations of the Screening Loans team and the Non-Theatrical Lending Collection (NTLC).

Under direction, and as a member of a team, provide an effective and timely access service for clients wanting to loan film and video titles from the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia’s (NFSA) collection. Principal duties include client liaison, booking, film checking and despatch activities, in accordance with established archival processes and procedures. This is a non ongoing opportunity for a period of 12 months.

The Senior Collection Access Officer plays a central role in responding to a wide range of external interests in the national collection of audiovisual cultural heritage. The work includes the co-ordination and delivery of a range of access, reference and technical reproduction services, simplifying and improving collection access pathways and developing the overall capacity of a large team based in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. You will also be involved in internally driven projects led under curatorial direction to increase enjoyment and appreciation of the national collection.
